strength breeds confidence

As I head back into the gym after years of not making it a priority, what I noticed is that the stronger I get the more confidence I gain.  I don’t mean just confidence in my chest press or dead lift but confidence in all areas of my life.  I feel stronger to take on the world!  I remember this feeling when I used to work out  more consistently.  I felt more organized with my time, was able to prioritize my life better, able to make decisions quicker because I was sure of what was a “Hell Yes” and a No.  It was like the stronger I got the more my life became more clear on what I wanted and went after it without overthinking and the overwhelm!

Building strength in anything will breed confidence.

Lifting weights is my example but I see teens develop confidence when they start to practice something they love!  I have a client who loves creating jewelry with different crystals.  The more she created and practiced her craft the more excited she became.  You could see her confidence radiate when she talked about her creations.  She would discover different techniques and try different types of jewelry to discover how best to display the crystals.  Before she knew it, someone noticed a piece of her jewelry and with confidence and love she described how she created it and the meaning behind it.  The women she was talking to asked her if she could make one for her.  My client was not expecting this at all but was so happy that someone else saw the beauty in the piece.  They exchanged numbers and my client sold her first piece of jewelry!

Strength Breeds Confidence!

This would not have happened if my client did not keep creating, keep practicing, keep doing what brings her joy!

It is so important for all of us to take action and build our strength.  Because with this strength we are more willing to have confidence to try new things, to go after what we want, and create an exciting and fulfilling life for ourselves.

I am so inspired by this teen’s strength that I use it to keep going after my dreams!
